By the time rain starts to fall against the roofline, a slim insert hangs behind the elbow of a downspout to soften the impact where water strikes. The small device tucks into place on a yard-facing downspout and sits out of sight once installed.

You get four gutter silencers sized 11 x 4 inches and about 0.02 inches thick that fit most 3 x 4 inch downspout elbows. The hook feature slides over the top backside of the elbow so you simply press it on and move to the next corner.
