Aluminum alloy cylinders expand and contract in the sun to operate vents on greenhouse windows and roof flaps, the opener working where your frame meets the outdoor air in beds, cold frames or hoop houses. The mechanism reacts to ambient heat and moves a vent sash so warm air can escape and cooler air can be retained at lower temperatures.
Two pieces are included in the pack shown and each opener ships with mounting accessories for installation, the unit engaging its dual spring arrangement and activating above 25 degrees Fahrenheit while returning to closed between 15 and 18 degrees Fahrenheit using solar thermal power. The compact packaged size is 1 by 1 by 1 inches and the pair supplies replacements or coverage for multiple vents.
